I went to Anne Johnston to get a basic, shallow cavity filled. I really wish that I hadn't. I am now facing complications due to a faulty procedure (both nerve damage in the injection site and a possible root canal), as well as extreme pain (I haven't been able to chew solids since it was done, which was weeks ago). I only learned about the complications after going to another dentist as Miss Johnston would not admit that there was anything wrong. It turns out that the x-rays show that she drilled too far and got too close to the nerve. Not only was she very uncaring when I told her of my other medical problems (I am a diabetic and have at times experienced seizures) she claims to have told me that there could be complications like pain (which is not true. In fact she told me that after the numbing agent wore off I should feel fine and that I could go on and eat and drink. I only needed to be careful not to bite myself). Sadly this was not the case. I was in pain for three days (and still am) and due to their working days and lack of any emergency precautions I ended up spending a holiday weekend in the emergency room getting antibiotics and hoping that banana popsicles might some how lessen the pain that I was in (and maybe reduce some of the swelling). On Monday, when I could see her, she acted hatefully and treated me poorly just in general. She told me first that my bite was off and then that I had a low tolerance for pain (which isn't true as any diabetic would know). She was rude to the friend that I had gotten to drive me and would not even address or make eye contact with her which I found odd. Before I even came to the office, when I was trying to arrange the appointment, the staff were rude to me and later called me back 3 times to tell me to come through the back door (I guess they didn't want anyone to see me). She took me off the antibiotics and sent me away with some numbing solution. Weeks later I am still in immense pain and I have now learned that I really should not have been taken off of those antibiotics. She will not take any accountability for her actions and there is physical proof and evidence (through x rays as well as the end result) that something went wrong on her end. She is not a trustworthy or accountable dentist and that is something very important when the subject has anything to do with your health. I would not recommend that anyone go to see Ann Johnston. I wish that I hadn't. I now have to sleep with an ice pack on my face, I've lost sleep, am in pain, go in and out of having a fever and haven't eaten anything solid for weeks (my 3 attempts have made it clear that this is not a good idea and my new dentist has told me that it would be best not to in hopes that maybe it will heal). Frances Anne Johnston and her staff are much more concerned with Invisalign, selling you various products and the way that things look and come across than they are with healthy smiles (my consultation was a very poor one) or pursuing good, accurate dentistry when it comes to the most elementary of procedures. This Dentist is one of the few that I've been to that has a Facebook page and if you look on it you will get a pretty accurate view of what is of importance to them (expensive meals at the Tavern and vacation photos...oh and Halloween pictures). This shows in their work. They are very showy, have lots of machinery and an attitude that seems to aim to impress and take you aback, but in reality what is practiced is very poor and all of the cutting edge technology and efforts at interior design are not going to change that. I am really disgusted. I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews like mine on here and I sincerely hope that other patients get that this is not how good dentistry is practiced. Provided by YP.comI have been a patient at Dr. Johnston's for many years. I had seen sveral other dentist previously but have never been as pleased as I am with Dr. Johnston. She goes above and beyond with her work. Her staff is very considerate and friendly. I would highly recommend her to anyone from 1-100!!

Provided by YP.comDr. Johnston's office is very nice. Her staff is super helpful and kind. Dr. Johnston herself is polite and explanatory. Her care, however did not satisfy me. Recently moving to the area, my husband and I had been referred to her through coworkers. He has had no trouble with her, but then again he only had a cleaning. On my visit, she assessed that I had a "pit" or begginings of a cavity. My previous dentist of 23 years would have filed it off. Dr. Johnston numbed the entire left side of my mouth, drilled out my tooth, and built it back up. After weeks of extreme sensitivity, I went back. After claiming I had a sinus infection which caused the pain, and taking two rounds of antibiotics with NO progress or relief. She decided I may need a root canal. I have never had pain or sensitivity in ANY of my teeth. I returned to my original dentist and after his x-rays and evaluation, Dr. Johnston had been trying to correct the WRONG TOOTH! So after a lifetime of great teeth, I haven't been able to eat on the left side of my mouth for seven months and will have to have endodontic procedures on multiple teeth. Thanks, Dr. Johnston.
