Its making me rate it but really its a "0". I have to give a Please I'm fore warning everyone regarding this company, I wish I would of did my homework better than I did, don't ever hire this company we were told 4 days its turned out to be 4 weeks, our yard was a mess and we have a small yard, things weer not nailed in properly. The owner never calls you back. He meets with you and talks a talk so you hire him, then his men come over for 2-3 hours a day only and go to another job so thats why its takes longer to get done. He takes 2/3 of your money up front to pay for his other jobs to get the supplies, then when you call him he doesn't know who he spoke to so his lies are getting worse. His office secretary is wonderful. We are waiting to hear from other companies of how much wood and things need to be fixed due to there ignorance. I spoke to someone who had there fence done and she said she has rotted wood so she complained and they dropped replacement off to her and told her to replace, she said I'm a single older lady I don't know how. Its unfortunate becuase it could of been a nice fence but we were told that it won't last 5 years so please take it from me. BEWARE OF THEM!!!!!!!

The only reason this is 1 star is that the fence quality and install went great. The biggest problem I had was with the customer service, or lack of in this case, with the company.

To make a long story short, the install took over 60 days to complete when originally 30 was the target due to a special order height fence. There was literally no communication from Acme Fence. Several deadlines for parts to arrive and install dates were missed with no call or explanations as to why. I had to call every time for explinations.



Finally after the install was complete, and they wanted their last payment, they called. They explained that delays happen and the job got done, so it didn't matter to them, we want all of our money. After much arguing, a discount of 2.1% was offered to remedy the situation, but I declined and paid the original amount to keep my end of the deal.



I have filed complaints with the BBB, Ohio Attorney General and submitted and article to the Akron Beacon Journal. I would avoid this company at all costs. They will over promise, and under deliver.

New fence went in today and could not be happier with the work. From the quote to the installation Acme Fence was great, would definitely recommend them for any work.

Exhausting experience! I should have paid a couple hundred more and used Home Depot! The receptionist at Amce Fence is the only nice thing I will say about this provider, she was always very polite and courteous after the NUMEROUS calls I had to make to complain. To sum it up, it took them weeks to schedule, I asked for a straight line back and they put most of the poles straight except one they put 4 ft into my neighbors property. After complaining they said "we are not surveyors", your telling me you as a professional cannot install a fence straight?! After that several more days to remove the misplaced pole, several more days to put it in right, more days to dry. Then comes fence install, knowing I have a small dog there were gaps and dips and holes everywhere! Complain again and sent them pictures to show the serious issues in craftsmanship. Again we WAIT for someone to come out and fix it. Never once did we get an apology for this 2 MONTH process (for 1/2 backyard fence). I would NEVER refer anyone to this company.

Can I give them a "0" star rating? That's what they deserve. The fence looks nice except for all the places they scratched it up while installing it. It's a white vinyl fence. They never communicated to me when they were coming out to do the job in the first place. I had to call them. Then they told me the job would be done in 3 days. They came out the first and second day and set the posts and 2 panels and disappeared. I heard nothing from them. I left messages with no return phone calls. I got ahold of them finally only for them to tell me my materials had not come in. But, because of that phone call the material magically appeared and the following morning they were out to finish the fence. When talking to the salesperson on the phone about this, he told me they "borrowed" the materials from another job to complete mine. So someone else is getting the shaft like I did so I can have my fence completed. Awful business. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

The fencing is nice, but the customer service was not. I had to call twice to find out when they were coming or when they were going to finish. They never called to tell me when they were coming. They took the final payment out before they were finisihed (which they are not supposed to take the final payment out until they are totally finished with all of it), and when I called, the guy said he took it out because he thought they were done and nobady said they hadn't finished- so if I hadn't called, they would have NEVER came back out and finished my fence. I finally got them out to finish fencing in my yard, and they promised to be out on Monday (2 weeks ago) and finish cutting the metal poles to my chain link fence- and I haven't heard from them. They do not value their customers.
