The Salvation Army provides opportunities to men and women to grow spiritually and serve the humanity. It offers food, emergency and transitional housing services to men, women and families in need. The organization provides opportunities to participate in programs and workshops that are developed to promote self-sufficiency and personal development. The Salvation Army also works with clients to help them transition to a more permanent housing situation. It offers individual and family trauma counseling and emotional support. In addition, the organization offers a music and art program that includes instruction in various musical instruments, such as brass, guitar, keyboard and drums. The Salvation Army sponsors the Youth Councils, which is an annual gathering where more than 600 people gather for a weekend of worship, training and fellowship. The Salvation Army is a Christian charity and church that is organized like a military service. The army was founded in London's East End in 1865 by one-time Methodist minister William Booth.

Provided by YP.comClean & bright store- also well organized and tidy. Good variety of merchandise and reasonable prices. Sales on Saturdays will include holiday sales, half-price clothes, and 50 cent clothes. My favorite Albert Lea re-sale store.
