Alpena High School offers academics, practical arts and vocational education for students in grades nine through 12. Its academic coursework includes subjects, such as English, math, computers, science and social studies. It also offers elective courses in fine arts, foreign language, vocational education, industrial arts, physical education, and advanced courses in academic and technical fields. It offers sports activities, including basketball, volleyball, cross country, track, wrestling, softball, baseball and swimming. The school has an auditorium, media center, a gymnasium, vocational education complex, cafeteria and six computer labs. It also has labs for chemistry, biology, physics, earth science and reading. It has a student-operated store retailing clothing and various supplies. Alpena High School is located in Alpena, Mich.
