first it is expensive... going to join the crunch for 19 dollars q month when it opens2. second half the machines tredmills old outdated the belts slip and 3rd over crowded the womens room is too small and this place need redone really there are no good gyms in athns that are decent and resonable

The YMCA of Athens is an older facility, but it offers a variety of fitness classes, two gyms, outdoor tracks, pools, etc. we have a family membership through work, which makes summer Y camp very affordable compared to other local cos or daycare. Also if you can afford it, get the spa membership. No kids allowed in the locker rooms. There's a hot tub and steam room. Also a lounge area with tv and towel and laundry service. You can also get a permanent locker to keep you workout gear in instead of supplying your own lock and taking your stuff home. It's an older facility and not fancy, but clean and functional. A good place for the whole family to get fit and have fun.
