Okay, where to start with Dr. ...

Okay, where to start with Dr. Shah???

His office staff does their job but once you're in they are not very friendly. I guess not everyone can be a people-person though.

When you go in for appointments you usually get back to a room pretty quickly because Lisa is on top of intake but when you get in those little rooms and they force you to close the door (if you open it, they will close it back every time they walk by), you could sit there anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour and a half because they are bad about either having very few scheduled at once or trying to see everyone and their mama in one day.

Now, once you are finally seen, Dr. Shah is very very friendly and sweet. He compliments you and the cuteness of your kids. He gets down to business quickly after and unless you have questions you only see him about 3-5 minutes. He's great at what he does.

But... if you are in pain. he will make you feel like some kind of drug addict if you say tylenol doesn't work. I mean really. What is tylenol going to do for back pain or the pain of a cyst on your ovary??? The answer? NOTHING. b/c tylenol is NOT made to treat that. It only works for headaches.

Also, if you have some bleeding or cramping or another concern about your pregnancy and you call to ask, he will make you feel like a complete idiot for not knowing that severe cramping or loss of small blood clots is normal for some people.

And then, after all is said and done. The baby has popped out and you are finally free. If you have a concern about excessive bleeding or cramping after the fact, he will suggest that you go to your primary physician or Regional First Care because he's already got most of your money and he doesn't need you anymore.

Long story short... you would probably be better off letting your husband deliver you in a box behind the hospital. It may sound ridiculous or seem funny but sadly, it's the truth.
