I have nothing but great things to say about Custom Engines. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything we would need to do for my engine. It was built in a good time frame and I have no problems. I won't go anywhere else, I definitely recommend this business.

I wish I could recommend this shop, but I can't. When I first called Tim, he told me he could rebuild my engine in about a month. Twenty calls and 7 months later the engine was, sort of, finished. He used two different types of bolts to fasten the heads. When I asked him what was up with the mis-matched bolts, he said something about a couple of the bolts having long studs attached so he ordered two ARP bolts to replace those; huh? Why not just use all ARP bolts? I'm paying for them. Then I find out that Tim hacked the oil baffles out of the stock valve covers to get them to fit over the roller rockers. I would have expected a quality engine builder to call me and give me the option to purchase aftermarket valve covers that would actually fit without spraying oil all over my new engine. Tim also lost my starter motor bolts. All in all, very poor quality work at a premium price. Find a different shop or buy a crate motor.
