Bo Wang, M.D., Ph.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology with the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine at Wilmer's East Baltimore and Green Spring Station locations. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, with particular interest in pediatric glaucoma and pediatric cataract, strabismus and retinopathy of prematurity. He received his bachelor's and doctorate degrees in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed his medical training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute and fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Duke Eye Center.With a research interest in the application of noninvasive imaging techniques to better understand and manage ocular diseases that affect children, Dr. Wang is using optical coherence tomography, a noninvasive optical imaging technique, to investigate changes in the outflow pathway that lead to pediatric glaucoma.
