Dr. Vietz is a board-certified Obstetrician-gynecologist and is currently the Chair, department of OB/GYN at Saint Agnes. He has been a pioneer in gynecologic minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery, since the early 1990s. In the more than 20 years since, he has been a leader in Baltimore and Carroll Counties in providing advanced obstetric and gynecological care for women in the community. Dr. Vietz earned his medical degree from the American University in the Caribbean, in the West Indies, before returning to his native Baltimore for his OB/GYN residency at GBMC and Saint Agnes. ?It feels great to be home again,? he says of his return to Saint Agnes. He is a member of the AAGL and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
