These tailors were fantastic.



I brought in a complicated strapless sequined gown, with a taffeta layer on top with beading (mermaid style dress over a silky underlayer) and also a boned strapless bodice. The ladies in the shop (not sure who did what, but there were three workers there when I first arrived) altered these items promptly (one week or so) to me in excellent, top-notch condition. The tailoring was truly expert; both items fit better than I could have imagined and they followed through on the smallest details, even addressing elements I had not noticed.



I have had bad and very bad experiences in the past with tailoring, so this was like finding a diamond in the rough. I've been to two tailors, in the financial district and in Allston, who either said "no way" to simple alterations or ruined my items with sloppy and expensive work.



Nevmar has great business hours and took me without appointment or hesitation. They easy to locate in Belmont. I highly recommend their tailoring for simple or highly complicated matters.



These tailors are ladies who have been doing this their whole life, and clearly enjoy their work. I would trust them with anything I needed altered and will return to them in the future.



By the way, they take cash and not credit, and request a deposit. Very reasonable.
