Dr. Kender has been an Internist for 38 years. His clinical skills include expertise in diagnosis, complex chronic illness management and coordination of complex care with specialists. As a board-certified internist, professor of medicine, primary care researcher and Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he continues to enjoy combining these skills with his passion for patient care. This includes his certification as a provider of the Flinders Method of Chronic Condition Management, which provides patient-directed improvement in life goals as a means to improve medical illness. Dr. Kender has an additional interest and background in providing care to underserved rural communities. Dr. Kender’s accomplishments include election to The Best Doctors in America as a Top Doctor every year since 1996. This includes his most recent election as a 2021 Pennsylvania Top Doctor.
