Edgewater Park School District provides guidance to the two schools in the district through its administrators and board of education and has its office in Beverly, N.J. It recommends the adoption of professional standards of regulations and raises student achievement through various practices and programs. It administers the Mildred Magowan Elementary School which offers classes from prekindergarten through grade four and Samuel M. Ridgway Middle School which serves students in grades five through eight. It analyzes the progress of students in the district schools by reviewing the progress of selected groups of students, including African-Americans and Hispanics students, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and special education students. Its special education programs serve students up to grade eight in regular classrooms and provide additional services, such as speech, occupational and physical therapies, counseling and special transportation.
