Community Day Care & Enrichment (CDC) is a private non-profit organization established in 1969. Our mission is to provide quality, affordable, and reliable child care in a developmentally appropriate, safe and loving, learning environment with a committed, experienced staff. We are centrally located in the heart of downtown Billings and are proud to say that we truly represent the Billings community as a whole. Our goal is to provide quality childcare and early childhood education to children of all backgrounds and financial situations. However, we do have a very high percentage of single-parent, low-income families enrolled. We accept the Best Beginnings State Financial Assistance and also have a Tuition Assistance Program for those that do not qualify for the state assistance. Each age group has their own area with age appropriate and developmentally appropriate toys, activities and scheduled curicullum. The rooms are separated into the following groups: infants/crawlers (6 weeks-24 months), Tiny Tot's (24 months-30 months), Big Tot's (30 months-36 months), Preschool - (3 years), PreK-2 (3 & 4 years) and PreK-1 (4 & 5) with additional summer program for the school age children. CDC provides a safe and healthy learning environment. We recognize that each child is an individual and has different ways in which they learn and grow. We achieve our goals through a combination of structured lesson plans, hands-on experiences and play. Play gives children the opportunity to develop personal relationships, provides opportunity for mastering the environment and integrating the roles of family. It also provides freedom, spontaneity, and confidence in the ability to learn and builds values of society while building self-esteem. All of this is achieved through a teaching staff dedicated to provide growth for the whole child and committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional, spiritual, physical and educational r

Great Place

I visited today and it is nothing like what the negative comment stated. I was VERY impressed with how nice everyone was. The place is very clean and efficient. I have never seen a cooler playground! This playground puts even the nicest parks I have been to shame! They also have a huge and almost-as-cool gym in the basement for the kids on rainy days. The classrooms were very large and organized perfectly for class/play/nap times. I have visited multiple daycare's here in Billings and this one blew them all away. I'm signing my son up immediately!

Response & information by Gina Young - Executive Directro

As Executive Director, I was astounded to hear there was such a negative review posted. I take pride in knowing all the families and children attending our center and am especially proud of my staff, who is motivated by passion and desire to be involved in contributing to the lives of the youth. It's important we develop a strong sense of communication and build a community bond with all. My “Open Door Policy” encourages all families and staff to come and share ideas, thoughts and concerns, both positive and negative. If there's a concern its imperative I know so I can improve the situation. It's difficult to believe that with those accusations I was not notified and I assure you if I was the situation would have been rectified immediately. We provide quality, affordable, childcare in a developmentally appropriate, safe, loving environment with committed & experienced staff. I invite to you to come and tour for yourself. Don't let an anonymous individual influence your decision.

Amazing Center for Families

I am flabbergasted by the previous review of this center. I believe it was meant for another agency; not only is it inaccuarate re: staff and policies, the physical description of the center is completely wrong. It would be a shame for a parent searching for childcare to read that erroneous review and attribute it to CDC! Billings is blessed to have such a childcare center for our comunity. This center has amazing policies regarding gentle discipline, a focus on learning--for the children AND teachers(see recent Billings Gazette listing of all the teachers and their recent continuing education levels!), wildly creative activities for the children and a high-level of parent involvement. My young son loves seeing his friends and teachers and I appreciate beyond words being able to head to work knowing my son is absolutely safe, loved and engaged. Choosing childcare for your children is very important (and stressful); I am very grateful that Community Daycare and Enrichment Center is such

WORST DAYCARE

They Let children hit eachother, with no acceptable time out, the use punishment for not going potty or wetting a diaper or wetting themselves, Staff is very rude and un organized.###My daughter was tortured at this place. Play equipment is too old, too high, and too dangerous for younger children to play on safely. The front gate is too high, a small child can slip under it or walk over.
