Dr. Derrick Cote joined The Bone & Joint Center in 2014. He is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. A native of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, Dr. Cote graduated summa cum laude and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at University of North Dakota in 2005. In 2009 he obtained his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Following medical school, he completed five years of training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Orthopaedic Residency. While attending school he volunteered at UND Family Practice Center and worked as a nurse assistant and intramural sports official. Returning to North Dakota to live and practice is something he has wanted from the beginning of his training. Dr. Cote is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
