Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and was founded in 1908 under provisions of the will of Benjamin Franklin. The institute offers various degree programs, including bachelor s of science, associate in engineering, certificate of proficiency and associate in science. Various courses are offered in automotive and industrial technologies, including architectural, automotive, computer and electrical technologies, and computer, electronic and mechanical engineering technologies. The certificate courses include mechanical and electrical engineering and marine technology. The certificate programs in pharmacy technology are in partnership with the Massachusetts Marine Trade Association. Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology provides educational programs to more than 350 students.
