My friend and I drove from Lafayette to eat at Cafe Des Amis on a Monday.
We both ordered the Shrimp Poorboys.
It took about 35 minutes, the bread was so hard that I couldn't eat it.
When I finally got the waitress's attention after 11 minutes, I asked her to bring out some fresh poorboy bread cause these were like baseball bats.
You could hurt someone if you hit them with it.
After another 12 minutes, we gave up and just ate the shrimp.
She finally showed up to bring the check 27 minutes after we asked her for fresh bread and she still didn't bring the bread!
I told my friend that we would never go back there again!
The next time that he wanted Shrimp Poorboys, I brought him to Le Cafe in Breaux Bridge, where they have the best Shrimp Poorboys in the world on the softest bread!

This was great food and having a 15 dollar coupon off was really worth it

This is a great cafe with a down home flair. Authentic to the area, great menu with awesome service.
