My engaging style is evident at the start of each tutoring session. In overcoming a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, I show my students by personal example how to persevere and succeed in academics and in life. For the past 15 years, I have been a full-time tutor for students in grades 1-12. I am a graduate of Wesleyan University with an emphasis in physical and cultural anthropology and an ongoing fascination with the study of prehistoric human societies. Presently, I use my diverse experience as a tutor, copy editor and radio news broadcaster to make each tutoring session truly memorable for my students. My students quickly see how much I care for their progress and success. I consider tutoring to be much more than just a profession, but a way to provide others with needed assistance. It is this goal, when met, which provides me with my greatest satisfaction as an educator.
