Charged over $250 labor for 1 hr of drain cleaning! Very over priced for this area. Beware of their pricing.

Do NOT call these plumbers. They came out to a property, after I explained the issue on the phone to the person dispatching calls, arrived and said they could not do anything. Then promptly asked for their fee for showing up. Crooks!

showed up looked in the basement couldn't figure out problem, 10 minutes later demanded payment of 65.00, get back to me later. coupon worthless than my dog poo.

They are way overpriced and are rude. Would never use again!!!!

I called them because I had a leaky tub, which I attempted to fix but could not. They came to my house while I was at work, so my wife dealt with them. They changed the same parts that I had already changed (washers, O-rings, etc.), which I had paid less than $10 for. However, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing charged me $180 for the parts and $60 for their labor. The leak, however, was not fixed. I will never call them again.

Benjamin Franklin sent me a wonderful plumber who actually cared about my problem. he gave me different options with the prices upfront and I decided what I wanted done by what I wanted to spend. Not a surprise bill at the end! He even cleaned up after himself. It was a great experience.

I could not believe how quick Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was to get a plumber out to my home. I called in the afternoon and they were able to send somebody out that same day. Everybody was so great to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

While I agree that some of the prices from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing are higher than what you may pay elsewhere, I appreciate that they aren't making up some price while they're standing in my house bidding a job. As was mentioned in another review, they do things right out of the book. That gives me security. Also, I would rather pay the extra money and get a warranty than pay a fraction of the cost and have something go wrong with it later down the road. In the end, I feel like this company is one that gives me security, confidence, and above all else, great service. I would recommend them to anybody!

They don't stand behind their guarantee: On TimeIf there’s any delay, it’s you we pay.® If we’re not on time, we PAY YOU $5.00* per each minute late up to $300.00. I had an appointment and when they didn't show up on time - I called the office and was told that he was running behind - I asked about the guarantee and was told since I was notified that he was running behind - they are not late. Needless to say - I cancelled the appointment and will not do business with them again.

They are WAY OVER PRICED! All pricing is quoted right out of a book, they open the book find your problem and the price for the job is in the book. Ask the price BEFORE you set an appointment, and make sure your sitting down first. $424 to clean out my slow moving drain. ASK PRICE FIRST!!

I want to let everyone know that the negative comments are irrevelent. The plumbers at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing are very professional and do quality work. The quotes that they give may sound high sometimes, but you have to keeep in mind that they do work that meets plumbing code and they perform better quality work.

We called this company to replace a specific part on a water heater, that would take about 30 minutes. Instead of charging for the part and an hourly rate, they have flat rates depending on the service. To replace a $55 item, they wanted to charge me $359 for the part, labor and warranty. When we asked if we could buy the part and install ourselves, they would only agree to sell it to us for $249. Again, this is a $55 part. Dont even let them in your house.
