I took my Dell to another computer repair place that told me I had a bad motherboard, and I should buy a new computer because Dell motherboards are too expensive to replace. So I said no way, picked up my computer and took it to Access Computer who said they specialize in Dell service. They said my power supply was not putting out the correct voltage. They replaced it and that fixed my problem for under $200. I saved several hundred dollars, and my Dell is working fine now. Dan S., Fort Mill SC

I recently contacted Access Computer to request a quote to replace an obviously broken DVD drive for my Dell laptop. I was told that they could not provide a quote over the phone, but if I brought the laptop in, they would give me a price quote. I then dropped the laptop off, told the associate that I wanted a quote for replacing the DVD drive and for a general tune up / clean up. They called me with a ridiculously high quote (twice what other companies had offered), so I told them not to perform the work and I would pick it back up. When I went to pick it up, they would not return it to me unless I paid them $65 for their diagnostics. Aside from the fact that I told them exactly what was wrong with the laptop, I was never told of the $65 charge until they had already done the "work". The owner's response was that the $65 charge was posted on the door behind me and I should have read the sign and they were going to keep my laptop until I paid up.

My computer was dead as a doornail. A virus had taken it down (no thanks to me - I let the virus protection expire). I took my computer to Access Computer, Inc on a Wednesday and it was fixed by Thursday. That's pretty amazing! And, the technicians added BETTER virus protection to my computer for me. The best part? Access Computer was able to save all of my important files from my hard drive. My computer is now happier and healthier than ever! Thanks, Access Computer!! I love you guys!
