Cab driver arrived without delay and was decent, not overly-friendly but not rude either. I was quoted $4.50-$5.50 for a ride that is about 2 miles with the shortest route. Of course we did not go the shortest route. When we arrived at the hotel, I was charged $9 which is nearly double what I had been told to expect. This was ridiculous, as Yellow Cab was only $6 and the car was nicer, drove more smoothly, and was cleaner as well. The cab I got with 1st Call Taxi had cigarette ashes all over the back seat and door area. I am staying in Charlottesville with a patient that is in the hospital after a major surgery and we are hundreds of miles from home. We are strapped for money as it is, and I really didn't appreciate being lied to about how much fare would be. I will not be using this service again, and I would never recommend it to anyone else either.

Worst Taxi Service Ever! After my vehicle breaking down, 1st Call Taxi was called for me by my insurance company. They arrived shortly after and were supposed to take me to Enterprise for a rental. As soon as I got in the car, I noticed the foul stench of cigarettes. I had my 2 year old and 4 year old with me. After driving down the road, Melissa, my cab driver, scared me a few times from not paying attention to the road. She would start going over the yellow line and swerve back over. She was on her phone and missed the exit we needed, so it probably costed me more money in the long run. We were almost to Enterprise when my 2 year old couldn't handle the cigarette odor any longer and vomited. Melissa instantly flipped out and told me I would be fined $300. I asked her if she smoked in the vehicle and informed her that the smell is what caused my daughter to throw up. She shook her head no, and I saw a lighter right beside her. I had wipes and cleaned my daughter and her car seat up the best I could. There ended up being a small spot on the carpet, which Melissa blew way out of proportion. She called her boss and I heard her saying it was everywhere! She said it was all over the door, and it wasn't. My daughter was in a carseat, and it caught almost all of it. Do NOT recommend them to anyone.

This cab company really took care of me for several weeks when I had a broken leg and needed to be driven everywhere. They were fair in price, always available, provided optimal white glove service and really cared about me. I would not hesitate to recommend this cab company -- ask for JR or Chris.

I had the worst experience ever it took the driver forever to get there and then he had the worst disposition ever I will never use them again and do not recommend them for anyone else
