Alderman Library serves advanced undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members at the University of Virginia. The library specializes in various reference services and general collections in the areas of humanities and social science. It houses a collection of books, journals and newspapers. Alderman Library offers articles and books on several subjects, such as anthropology, archeology, astronomy, history, biology, chemistry, economics, English, media studies, psychology, mathematics and sociology.
