I have worked for Labor Works of Hamilton off and on for the past 7 years, I only work there as a last resort as do most people. I would avoid hiring temps from this company or registering there as a temp. The horrer show starts at 5:30AM when you have to come in, in person to register, the manager selects who he wants to go out and everyone else is waisting there time. Mostly he selects the regulars who are usealy drunk or on drugs, typicly they have horrible drug problems, and he only uses them because they will work for any ammount of money. Everyone has to take a fake breathalizer test, no one is ever drug tested, everyone is payed "Minimum Wage", The employeer makes illegal deductions from pay checks that violate the minimum wage standard. This company violates many labor laws including the laws that govern MINIMUM WAGE. I once worked a 9 hour shift doing tile at a school which should have payed pravailing wage. I RECIEVED ONLY $27 DOLLARS FOR MY 9 HOURS OF WORK. The manager made illegal deductions from my paycheck that put me bellow the minimum wage standard. This is not uncommon for this employeer, he still engages in these practices even after I have called the department of Labor on them no less then 75 times. He will investigate and recoup your money from this crooked employeer. Also in many cases temps are not paid for there work if they leave a job early, this is illegal, please contact the department of labor if any employeer does this to you it is illegal, and no employeer is allowed to retaliate aginst you for reporting them, if they should you are allowed to sue them in a court of law for lost wages and the employeer will be fined heavily. I was a temp for many years and I suffered at the hands of these modern day slaver traders and I HAVE COME TO SET MY PEOPLE FREE FROM THEM.
