We had discovered Andy's burgers while traveling. I don't know where we were, but we became instant fans. The burgers are delicious and a bargain. A great diner burger.

We then moved to Clayton and found an Andy's in town, much to our delight. We did not find the staff as organized as in the other restaurants. Our meal took a while. Then, after our food was delivered to our table, we lifted the buns to check condiments. My burger pattie had been cut in half and the half placed on the edge to disguise the ruse. My husband checked his. He had been given the other half, but his was chopped into small bits, I suppose, to hide the fact that he was not being given a whole piece of meat.

This is really deceitful on the chef's part. Why wouldn't he give us a whole meat pattie? Was he running out of meat? We didn't know, but the server was angry. He took the plates back to the cook and asked him what's going on. The cook didn't answer him. After another long wait, we finally got our food. The server was very apologetic. But we weren't offered any concessions. I would have offered the meal free, since both of us were treated deceitfully. We paid and left and have never gone back. Don't let this one location keep you from the others. Other Andy's make a good diner burger. But if you're in Clayton, try out a diner right down the road from this one. It's called The Rockin' Comet and it is an old fashioned diner with a good burger and excellent chicken strips too!
