The Community Services Council is a private nonprofit organization that provides a variety of programs and services for citizens of Brevard County, Fla. Located in Cocoa, Fla., the organization develops solutions to community problems and promotes and maintains independence. It offers catering services for child care and adult day care centers, as well as organizes community events and parties. The Community Services Council supports family caregiver support and senior citizens' assistance programs. The organization operates the Sunflower House, which is a resource center for caregivers and senior citizens, and it includes support services for caregivers provided through training, referral and support groups. It also supports a volunteer-run alternative transportation program.
