Alan Bridges joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in September 2024. He previously worked for 5 years as a Financial Advisor at a local financial services firm. Alan has a bachelor's degree in behavioral science from the US Air Force Academy, a master's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California (their UK program), and he attended the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. He holds Series FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in AL, CA, CO, GA, and IL. Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Alan serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Alan will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals. Active in his community, Alan is a volunteer for a local Boy Scout Troop, the Colorado Mountain Club, and local trail-building organizations. In his free time, Alan enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and running.
