Aging & Community Services of South Central Indiana, founded in 1976, is a nonprofit organization serving senior citizens, children and persons with disabilities of all ages. The organization provides home and community-based services, senior centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and other community services. Its nutrition services include more than 153,000 meals and hot lunches through congregate and homebound services to elderly and disabled individuals. The agency s household service program offers in-home assistance with housekeeping and home maintenance tasks. Its family caregiver program assists caregivers with information, education, support groups and caregiving resources and has a senior community service employment program. Aging & Community Services is located in Columbus, Ind., and serves Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties.
