Founded in 1982, Cameo Fibers is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leggett & Platt, which is a global manufacturer and supplier of bedding material and components. Cameo Fibers manufactures textile goods, bedding products, carpet cushions, batting, wadding, padding, furniture fillings and cellulosic manmade fibers. It also manufactures a variety of hospitality goods, such as pillows, quilt backings, drapery linings, rollouts and flame-retardant fabrics. It employs more than 120 employees and has a research and development facility to explore new fibers and fiber blends in the areas of exotic fibers, textile clippings, polyester and low-melts. Cameo Fibers is located in Conover, N.C.
