Founded in 1954, Coastal Carolina University is a public comprehensive liberal arts institution with more than 8,700 students from the United States and abroad. Based in Conway, S.C., it comprises 69 main buildings on 631 acres and offers 53 areas of study toward the baccalaureate degree. Additionally, it provides seven master s degree programs in education, writing, coastal marine and wetland studies and MBA, besides 10 undergraduate degree programs, including economics, criminology, arts and more. The university also offers students a nationally competitive NCAA I athletic program, cultural activities and several student clubs and organizations.
