Provided by YPmobileTook my Chevy Avio to Coshocton Auto Zone to get it scanned because the engine light was on, an employee came out with 2 components. One of them was a memory saver, the other one was a battery tester. He plugged in the memory saver inside the car then went out under the hood and hooked up the battery tester to check the battery. He could not get a good connection on his tester so he had to remove the battery termanals on the car battery to clean the post. After he did that he hooked his tester to the battery, on his tester it said the battery and the alternator was good, and he had the key on the whole time while he was doing all the testing. As soon as he took the memory saver out of my car, the car wouldn't start at all, and he was out there trying to figure out why the engine light wouldn't come on and why the car wouldn't start. So he hooked the memory saver back into my car and the engine light came on and the car started. When the car was running he unplugged the memory saver and the car shut off again, then he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I had to call the Auto Zone in Cambridge to ask what was going on because i deal with them a lot through commercial accounts. I told them what was going on with my car since the Coshocton employees didn't know what was wrong. I told the Cambridge employees everything about what the Coshocton employees did, and they said the memory saver is what screwed my car up. I told Cambridge Auto Zone that when the memory saver is hooked up the car will start and stay running until you unplug it. Cambridge Auto Zone told me that the relays and the ECM fuses were blown out, while I was talking to Cambridge Auto Zone, the Coshocton employee was trying to put a paper clip where the memory saver was plugged in to bypass it so the car would stay running. I didn't agree to that, it isn't professional of what he was doing, he was just trying to get me off the lot. If it wasn't for me calling Brandon at the Auto Zone in Cambridge, then I would still be stranded there and my car would of had to been towed. If you decide to get your car scanned at Coshocton Auto Zone, I recommend you NOT to unless you want to walk home.
