I had taken my car to the Dealership, which will not be named, and they were trying to charge me an arm and a leg to replace something. It was obviously out of my budget and took it to Costa Mesa Auto Service and they were more then happy to help me with my situation. They offered great service and went above and beyond make sure everything was ok with my car. I am happy to find a great local Mechanic that I can refer to friends and family.

My car tires were balding to the point of the metal threads showing through the rubber. In this economy, I was waiting until the last possible moment to fix this obvious problem. I took my car to Costa Mesa Auto Service Center and explained my situation. Not only did they get me a fair price on new tires, but they helped me understand several other issues that were going on with my car and worked fairly with me to determine the best timeline upon which to maintain my car. Definitely a good car service place.

When I first learned of this shop they had come recommended by a family friend but my experience there turned out to be a nightmare! When my car failed to start I thought it was a simple problem such as the starter. A day later they told me my engine was completely seized up and that they did not know why. They lied to my father and I telling us that they had tried various things to test if the engine was in fact seized. In reality they did NOTHING!! They told us our options were to pay $5000 for a used engine, or to sell my car to them for $500. My car is a 99 and blue book value is $7,000!! I didn't trust them and took my car elsewhere. Turns out the only thing wrong with the car was the hot lead on the battery!! Within half an hour and for $ 25 my car was working again. These people are LIERS!! Not only that, but they must also be idiots to think they could get away with such a scam. They tried to work my father and I for $5,000!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE EVER!! Tell your friends
