Tom Boyd has appraised for me and two Mortgage Companies I have worked with over the last 15+ years. I consistently choose Tom to Appraise for several reasons.

Honesty - He does what he says and he is a professional whom I can count on to provide an accurate and technically correct product.

Depth of experience - Although I am a Lender based Loan Officer now I was affiliated with a Broker previously and I have never had a wholesale bank not accept Tom's work. He regularly does work for local Covington Banks and I think that speaks volumes about him. When I need a Construction Appraisal Tom has the experience to deliver an accurate Appraisal that will "survive" the construction process and be on target. When appraising for purchases he is prompt and delivers a high quality appraisal that allow me to approve and fund the loan on time. And finally in the refinance realm Tom is able to negotiate today's complex requirements in order to get a value that is both acceptable and accurate.

Service - When I have an underwriter ask for more data or added comps on appraisals Tom reacts quickly and ensures we have the data we need to close on time. On final inspections for new construction I can always count on Tom to arrange his schedule to fit tough situations. Builders can sometimes take to the last minute to complete a home and Tom is ready to get a final to me for an on time closing.

Scope - Tom subscribes to enough Data Bases I can count on him to do appraisals outside of Covington. He really can appraise all of Metro Atlanta and over to Lake Oconee, and down to Lake Jackson. Recently I had an Airline Pilot who was buying on Lake Jackson and a Monticello Bank dropped the ball, I ended up with the file and one problem was a very poor appraisal. The client wanted to try to use it anyway to save repaying for another one and we tried. The appraisal was chewed up by underwriting and I was looking at a second appraisal and a desk review and a two week delay. Tom was able to provide me an acceptable (superb actually) appraisal the SAME day! Underwriting was appeased and we closed without delay.

Personal Attention - My clients regularly comment on Tom's professionalism and the job he does. He is quick to answer their questions and make them comfortable with the process. When I work on a mortgage for a prior client I am regularly asked if "that same appraiser" will do theirs again. They may not remember his name but they remember the good job and professional manner in which he works.

I use Tom because I can count on him. Always.
