I started my martial arts education at Self Defense Studio in 1995 in a different location. I earned my black belt from Greg Mattson and Becky Mornar in 2000 and can't imagine a better set of teachers. They are so passionate about making sure their students understand what they are doing and why, with the ultimate goal of self defense.



I left for a few years because my husband was in the Navy and we had 2 kids along the way, but I am back now, with my whole family, and I am excited to know that in this day and age of bullying and other physical crimes that my kids are being taught by the best to learn to handle these situations both physically and mentally.
