I have been a couple times to this hospital and each time it was worse than the time before. The medical staff is extremely unprofessional. The nurses are constantly discussing personal issues out in the open, arguing with other staff memebers, and gossiping about other staff members either in patients rooms or in the hall and complaining about the patients etc. It seems the staff is more concerned with rushing to get you out of there than finding out what the reason is you came there for. I had an accident and had broken/fractured multiple areas (including my jaw) and was only informed of two. When I asked the "specialist" if there were any other fractures etc she said she had to look again because she was very busy with paperwork and didn't have the time to look that closely at my x-rays. An hour or so later we asked to speak with her again regarding the same issue. When she came back to the room she stated again that there were no other brakes that she was was very busy with her paperwork and needed to rush back to it. It was made very clear to me by another staff member that I either needed to be admitted or transported to UVA in Charlottesville. The specialist and doctor both were going to send me home for the weekend and have me schedule with UVA for tge surgery I needed for my jaw. Mind you I'm 83 yrs old. I coukd not wait that long. I decided to go to UVA where they found I had 6 other brakes including my skull and a small bleed in my brain. Long story short I am doing much better now, but if it wasn't for UVA things may have been much worse. I would nit recommend this hospital to anyone. If you want to make sure you get tge care you need and deserve I would suggest taking a drive to faquire hospital or uva.
