THE BAD: They are now Karate Atlanta with same instructor Kevin Mendes. I personally would not recommend this place. Beware making long contracts. They will try give you the world so you can sign up for a contract with no refund or any other solution (credit within same dojo, transferred to another school within Karate Atlanta, donate it to another account, or freezing the account) if your personal situation changes such as job, dojo changes schedule, or any other reason. This goes for all old contract. I have talked to them about my situation, and they just ignore it. They will pay attention to your kid for the first trial lessons ,and then your kid will stay in the shadows for the rest of your contract until is time to re-new again. Also, their classes are almost the same every day. Kids will lose interest fast.



THE GOOD: Mary (Teacher assistant for Tiny tigers 3-6 age) is awesome with kids. She was the only one that could maintain my kid interest in doing the sport until Karate Atlanta changed the schedule and program. I was only able to take my kid on the days she was not giving the class. As a result, lost the interest in the sport.



To Karate Atlanta: -Keep Mary teaching in Tiny tiger classes. -Don't enforce kids 3-6 year old to buy non necessary gear just because you decided to add sparing to the program so you can sell items. Besides, when a kids get upgrades to junior classes 6-12. They cant used their gear until they are camo-belt. Most kid have grown out their gear by the time they get to camo-belt. (kids re-start belt system from orange) -Keep classes fresh (important). -Take responsibility for old contract made with Kevin Mendes for your old students. (my self) I am open to talk to you guys for a solution. -Maintain same treat/service for your student like you do it on your trial teaching lessons. In other words, give good service. -Focus on your student and not milking money. -(Improved) since Karate Atlanta taken over. Now, many families have their items order in their hands. It took me a year to get all my items that I order from Kevin Mendes. Thanks to Derrick Biellier that I have this.



NOTE: I will keep this review 1 star until the school has really change. (places like this gives a bad name to ATA association).
