Children s Community School is public charter school for students in grades kindergarten through four. Its academic curriculum includes reading, handwriting, arts, foreign language, and technology studies. It makes various manipulative and art materials available to students, and each classroom has two to three computers and printers, with a variety of software. The school s students go on various field trips each year that are chosen to support its curriculum. Each class attends several plays at Children's Theatre throughout the year, and also attends monthly field trips to both the Children's Art Project and Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home. Children s Community School also attempts to bring community resources, such as the Charlotte Symphony Guild and the Raptor Center, into the school. Children s Community School is located in Davidson, N.C.
