Located in Decatur, Ga., Shamrock Middle School is operated by DeKalb County School System. The middle school serves more than 1,200 students in grades six through eight. The school has a wide variety of special education programs for students with intellectual disabilities and low vision and hearing impaired students. Its academic courses include mathematics, English, social studies, science, language arts and physical education. The school s media center has more than 16,000 audiovisual materials, and books, magazines and newspapers. The media centre offers various facilities, including digital video editing, scanning, Internet access, CD burners and zip drives. The middle school offers a variety of athletic activities, such as basketball, football, cross country and track.
