My one year old mastiff and I recently completed the obedience class with Jody and her assistant, Jai. The approach and the training methods she provided have made a huge difference in both the way I handle my dog and the way the dog responds to me. Both instructors stress the importance of POSITIVE reinforcement and giving a "party" to your dog every time he behaves well. There is a method of correction when undersireable behavior takes place, however, once the correction is made, resulting in desireable behavior verbal encouragement and reward is given. I often get compliments on how well behaved my dog is and I have to give complete credit to Top Knot Canine Center. If you put the time and effort in with your dog, you will not be sorry.

Jody is an outstanding trainer. She runs an orderly class. I have had 3 dogs that have been through her basic obedience class over the years and they all have made me proud when I go out with them or when people come to the house. She teaches you how to train your dog, not how to bribe them. I recommend her to anyone and everyone who has a puppy or a dog.
