The guy was nice enough when he quoted the work. The price was high with an average warranty. Then he called back and increased the cost $800.00 for a $100 part. He apologised and said he would cover the towing due to the inaccurate quote. I was not interested in a $3500.00 rebuild on a high milage car. So he suggest looking for a rebuilt transmission. At this point I had found another company local yet nationwide that would do the same job with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty for $1900.00. When I told him I was having the car picked up he said I had to pay the towing fee. He could install the rebuilt for the initial cost he quoted to rebuild mine. The $800.00 additional part did not factor in at this point. Because he quoted me $2700 for the rebuild he charged me for towing . The initial quote was for rebuilding MY transmission which was not our agreement. To say he quoted me the wrong transmission when he had my car was wrong. He should have known the car may have one .
