Al Jenis started shooting 22 caliber rifles at the age of 12 with his father, who taught him the power and responsibility of gun ownership. Al then spent two years in the Army with the Military Police, carrying a 45 ACP. Upon discharge from the military, Al continued shooting trap, skeet, crazy quail, as well as various hunting activities. Al has been a member of several gun clubs where he became exceptionally good at shooting skeet.As Al got older, he realized that many young hunters lacked knowledge of how to hunt safely, so he became an NYS Hunter Safety Instructor in order to teach people the proper way to handle a shotgun. Al began instructing students in Erie, Niagara, Genesee, and Chautauqua counties and soon expanded his instruction to include skeet, trap, and personal protection.Current N.R.A. Certified classes include Concealed Carry, Home Firearm Safety, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection Inside the Home, and Personal Protection Outside the Home. Al is also qualified to provide instruction on how to use a Rifle and Shotgun properly.
