Rural Development Initiatives, also known as RDI, is a private organization that provides a range of services for community, nonprofit and government groups. Established in 1991, it serves clients in throughout the Pacific Northwest. The organization also offers Made at the Kitchen Table and Leadership in Action programs. Rural Development Initiatives provides economic development and planning, readiness assessments and technical assistance solutions. In addition, it offers networking and community and organization development services. The organization works with volunteers and rural leaders. Rural Development Initiatives has helped more than 300 communities. It also facilitates large and small community-based meetings.
