Provided by YPmobileMy daughter Olivia has been attending starbright for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier. She is always happy to go to school and loves all her teachers that she has had. She went into school not potty trained and still using a binky and bottle. She now is fully potty trained and off bottles and binkys. All that in less than a year. Every person at starbright is more than helpful and very supportive in making your child's life better. I am so lucky to have such a great school to take my daughter to!!!

Provided by YP.comMy family and I really enjoy Starbright Early Learning Center. As a first time parent you look for a school that best fits your family and child. My son, Jaiziah, always looks forward to school. He wouldnt stop talking about what he learns everyday. Starbright staffs are very welcoming and always willing to help.

All three of my kids attended Starbright and thrived in the wonderful environment there. The teachers care about all the kids. From the parent-teacher conferences, I could see they closely track every aspect of the children's development. They give the kids special attention in every classroom, from the infant room up to kindergarten. In fact, my children read before kindergarten, due to Starbright's curriculum and amazing teachers.Starbright is also a clean, good-looking facility. Other schools I looked at in the area were messy and chaotic. Some didn't have carpeted floors, or even walls to separate the classrooms. At Starbright, I feel my kids were closely supervised and I didn't have to worry about them getting hurt. I'm thrilled that my kids had the opportunity to attend Starbright.

Provided by YP.comEveryone in my family has been pleased with Starbright during the five years my two children have been there. Education programs range from infants to school age and my kids can hardly wait for summer camp at Starbright. The gamut of classes offered keeps the kids very active and Starbright even has dance, music and Spanish. I'm delighted with how clean the school is kept. For example, the kids have to change from outside shoes to inside shoes. These are stored in large cubby holes where the kids keep any belongings they bring in for the day. There are large windows in the classrooms where the walls are covered with the children’s artwork. The kids are evaluated to statewide standards. Because of Starbright, my children are happy, well-adjusted and well-educated.

Provided by YP.comI love Starbright because they care for my two kids in the way that I would. Classrooms are huge with floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with activities and toys. There are programs for pre-school, kindergarten, before and after school, and educational summer programs for kids up to third grade. The teachers either have degrees relating to childhood education or are training in that field. They even have a cook who prepares fresh food for lunch. I feel like the staff is becoming family. My kids have gone there for nearly three years now and I will not take them anywhere else because Starbright has exceeded my expectations.

Provided by YP.comwe had 3 great years of care at Starbright for our 2 children. starting with our oldest who went through Star Gazers, Moonbeams, Sunrays, Starlights, and Meteorites (Kindergarten). Our youngest recently enjoyed 2 great classrooms Sparkles and Twinkles. We had to make a move due to our oldest advancing on in school and needing a daycare for our youngest closer to home. It was a very hard decision to leave. We did not have alot of interaction with Starbrights founder, Kim, but we didn't really need to; we felt her philosphies were sound, her organization and systems in place for the care, love and support of early learners excellent and her experience was very evident. The teachers had great training and understanding with respects to socioemotional development. The were very in tune with the needs of a child at the age they are at, with age appropriate fun, learning, support, and rest. The food is excellent, made on site, your child will get good nutrition here which is unique. You will receive an update every day on your childs day. Starbright supports working families and I didn't find alot of requests on my time or needing to take time of from work to attend activites or field trips etc; most "extra" activities were optional, no pressure. My sense of the families with children at Starbright is that its a diverse mix which I think is good on many levels and they accept and love all children from all walks of life, I thought the staff at Starbright had excellent capacity and systems to help children who may be having challenges emotionally, developmentally or otherwise and also could challenge a child educationally if appropriate. Most importantly is the kind and generous care, I have to give huge kuddoes to Miss Jen (Director) who generally is available for every call and query, Miss Stephanie (lead teacher Sparkles, what a warm, hard working teacher, our boy bloomed with you from age 1-2) Miss Rachel (lead teacher Twinkles, you are sunshine and a big bottle of L.O.V.E. :) --- you know my son loved you both so much. Thank you. Miss Becky (pre K/starlights lead)--such great energy and fun for my daughter at that age. Miss Kristen, lead kindergarten teacher, runs a great class, my daughter thrived and excelled and had fun. There are many others: miss annalisa, miss candace, miss sarah , miss devoney, mr justin, miss ann. And apologies for all the other great teachers Im missing. This is beginning to sound like an Academy Award speech, but ya all deserve it :) we miss you

Provided by YP.comIf there was a 0 star, then this place would get it.
I should have posted this a couple years ago, I have been focused on finding a better place for my son and just moving on. However, I recently cleaned my office and found my documentation on this school and thought I would share.
My son Attended this school for 1 day. Two hours into my son's stay at this facility the day care called and told me I had to come pick up my child and that he was not welcome back. This after 2 hours! The director attempted to lecture myself and my husband on how my son and us needed to immediately seek professional help and parenting classes. She complained that our son wasn't ready for this environment and that IF we found immediate help we MAY turn things around.
Our child had been in a childcare center for the past 2 years prior to coming to this facility. (We had to look for another facility due to an issue with a Kindercare facility- His First one closed down and we had to relocate. The one we switched to was horrible. They could not control their kids.) I explained to the director on my walk through that he had taken on a disruptive attitude and often threw tantrums. At the time Dr. Borgatta said it would be fine and they would work with him.
When the director called and stated he could not come back, I tried to explain this is behavior stated while at his last center. I even offered to take some time off work to be there at the center with them to help. She refused to work out anything. The only information she gave us was that he refused to participate in group activities and then when in her office, he wouldn't stop talking. She felt he didn't understand that he was in trouble and not getting special attention.
My husband wanted to know what was going on first hand, so he emailed the director to asked what happened. Not only did she continue to say how we needed professional help again, but took the opportunity to bad mouth me to my husband. (Not once had I attacked her personally at this time). She made comments such as, "Frankly, some day I'll be glad when I don't have to put myself on the line for people like your wife......it takes time, energy and perseverance and people like her just wear me out and want to make me quit my job." (This was the nicer of some of them)
Again she made all these judgement of me and my family after 2 hours with my son and 1 15 minute conversation.
This was a couple years ago. I found another day care, they worked with my child for 1 week and he stopped the tantrum that he was having. He continues to do well in school and in the large groups she said he wasn't ready for. Yes, he does have a little ADHD/hyperactiviy however it is nothing that the schools and daycare has not been able to work with in class.
I hope this has helped you decide to look for another day care.
We are happy that this parent was able to get help for their son. We enroll a limited number of children with special needs. We were unable to help this family at the time which is why we encouraged them to get professional help and to place him in a smaller more intimate environment. Not all children thrive in a classroom setting at a young age. We are sorry that this parent is still upset after all of these years. Please read our many other positive reviews or stop by for a tour any time.

Provided by YP.comI've have both my boys at Starbright for almost four years now. We LOVE the staff at Starbright and the quality care they provide. Both my boys enjoy going to "school" and every staff member knows their names and greets them like family. As an educator who has taught pre-school and now teaches first grade, I had high standards for where my children would spend their days. I visited just about every child care center between Marysville and South Everett, and decided it was worth an extra drive daily to have my boys at Starbright. Go visit and you will see what I mean. This is the best child care in the area!

Kind, caring, friendly, always smiling staff make it an even better place.

I think one of the most important things about a program is that the teachers care about my child. They are able to care because it's a really nice school with beautiful classrooms and tons of toys and learning materials. Also they earn a decent salary so they don't have a lot of turn-over. My 4-year old is learning so much. She brings home art-work and papers everyday. They have a very nice large play room for when it rains and they have great climbing equipment on their playground. If you want a place where people actually listen to you, I highly recommend this school. My daughter can't wait to go to school every day!

Provided by YP.comReally nice space. Huge large motor room with lots of equipment to climb on. My two year old loves it there! The teachers are experienced and educated. The kids do lots of artwork and painting. They have a great outdoor space. They also have a dance teacher and music man for no extra charge. Big classroom and my child's face is clean at the end of the day. I really feel comfortable having my precious daughter going there. Good places are not easy to find!

Provided by YP.comHaving a great experience at Starbright, with one toddler and one 4 year-old enrolled for a little over a year now. The teachers are warm, caring, and interested in my kids. The admin team is super knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly—always there to discuss concerns and answer questions. I feel very confident that my children are in good hands when I’m at work. They’re always chatty about their day and happy when I pick them up, which in my mind confirms this is the best place for them. Thanks, Starbright!

Provided by YP.comThanks to this great place, I can relax at my new job. My two children have gone there for only a month, but I'm already seeing a huge difference in their behavior. At the last daycare, they cried a lot and didn't seem to have many friends. Now they can't wait to go to school every day! When I pick them up at night their faces are clean, their clothes are clean......and they never want to go home! Teachers are really nice and the classrooms are huge. Yay!

Provided by YP.comI took my child to this daycare and was NOT happy with it. They charge you extra for lunch and breakfast, there prices are crazy, and the teachers are all ways changing. I found a much nicer daycare for quit a bit less money and I love it. My child is very happy at his new daycare, where the daycare teachers actually listen to the children. I was not happy bringing my child to the Starbright center and have told all of my friends not to take their children here. So keep in mind when you are looking for a daycare center, trust you own judgment, NOT the parents that you find have written outstanding for this daycare.
We're always sad to see a negative review. Most reviews are positive and we make every attempt to satisfy our families and offer quality care to our children. The parent who wrote the review was with our program for 3 years. I guess if they were that displeased with our services they would have withdrawn much sooner. We are happy they have found a program that more closely matches their particular needs and wish them the best of luck and success in the future. Please take a moment to review the other 18 comments about our school and feel free to call us with any questions you may have about our above average program!

Provided by YP.comBoth of my kids have had wonderful experiences at Starbright. My daughter was there from the time she turned 4 until she started public school; my son has been there since he turned 1. Each room has an age-appropriate curriculum. Staff pay close attention to each child, so they move to the next classroom when they are developmentally ready (instead of at a predetermined age). They also bring in teachers for music, dance, and Spanish.
Yes, they taught my kids their letters, to read, to speak a few spanish words, and even (in their kindergarten program) to swim ... but what we've appreciated most is how they teach the children to be kind, helpful, and respectful of others. My daughter (now in 2nd grade) still loves to go back and visit, hugging teachers and friends she meets in the hallways. Spend a few minutes there, listen to how the teachers talk to the kids, watch how the kids treat each other ... and you'll see what an amazing place this is for kids to learn and grow.

Provided by YP.comI just enrolled my two children (2 and 4) and this is a wonderful school! Teachers are very educated and very, very nice. The director has a lot of experience and is around all of the time. Rooms are big and very clean. Tons of toys and educational materials. Really organized. Nice curriculum. Very responsive staff. Lunches are great and my kids can't wait to go every day.

Provided by YP.comThis is a great preschool program. They have care for babies too. I have a preschooler and a school-ager attending Emerson Elementary. I really recommend this place because the teachers are really smart with college degrees. They are also very nice. The director was a college teacher for many years and really teaches the teachers a lot. There is a music teacher, a dance teacher, and a Spanish teacher and you don't have to pay extra for it. They have a great summer camp for only 25 children and two teachers and my third grader just loves it. They go on a field trip every day in the summer and their vans are brand new, so I feel really safe for my son. The prices are really reasonable. They charge less than a lot of daycare chains. Check it out!!!!!!!!!!
