WoW! All I can say is I thought this was 2009? My biracial daughters and I were headed home from cheerleading camp. We stopped in Fowlerville at Taco Bell (which was about our 1/2 way point). I ordered our food and we decided to eat outdoors. The cashier was supposed to give my daughters their slushy type drinks that are made behind the counter. While I was waiting outside between 5-8 minutes for my girls to join us I finally went back indoors. NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WOULD SERVE MY DAUGHTERS THEIR DRINKS. The cashier kept looking at my girls and walking to the back of the store. She did this three times Not once asking if they needed something or if they were ok. The people on the line making the food kept looking at the girls and snickering. I had to ask if my daughters could have their drinks. One of the line members finally brought me their drinks with a smirk on his face. Oh and don't let me forget to say that the cups were about an inch from the top. They wouldn't even fill the cup up. We did not eat our food. We were disgusted and my daughter was crushed that she had such awful treatment. I am sorry that the employees of this Taco Bell and possibly the city of Fowlerville were raised with such hatred that they refused to serve a beverage to someone of another color! I am relieved to say that I am proud of my daughters that they are strong, beautiful girls who held their heads high as we left this Taco Bell with AWFUL treament!
