While this school started out well for our son; it soon became apparent to us that this school was beginning to single out our one year old son who was soon to be two.

They were always happy to see him at drop off in car line exclaiming that he was their favorite child. One note from us as parents challenging their questionable decision as if our child was sick; which he wasn’t and the whole story changed the following week. Monday morning drop off and no one was chipper when picking him up from car line and nothing said like every time previous; strange how this changed over the weekend.

Two days later, he was dismissed from the school for his aggressive behavior. This behavior as proclaimed by the owners a few weeks back as developmentally normal for a child his age all of the sudden was not normal. Excerpt from AAP they need to familiarize themselves with; ‘Parents of a two-year old can tell you that children at that age often become more aggressive. They want to be in charge. And if they don’t get what they want they react with violent behavior like biting, kicking, or hitting. This is normal, but not acceptable, behavior. Your two-year old doesn’t have the language skills or patience to cope with disappointment or frustration. So give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy through physical play and exercise. When he’s with other children, supervise him carefully, and praise him for positive behaviors.’

Did they ask for a conference? No. Did the owners just decide that it would be easier to discriminate and single him out and ask him to leave? Absolutely.

My suggestion is if you do not ever question authority and a poor decision from a school; by all means send your child here. But, be warned if your child needs a bit more attention and you like to have an opinion, this is not the place to send your child. There are more than enough places in Franklin that care for any child and are familiar with childhood development.

This school is worth every star!! Brooke, Jennifer and their staff provide a clean, safe, fun, educational, and nurturing environment for our kids to play and grow. It is a lovely school. We attended for 3 years before starting kindergarten. It was sad to say farewell because it was such a great experience!

The school did a wonderful job preparing my little one for kindergarten. We will be sending our other two little ones for sure!

After having a not so great year at a church's MDO program PB&J has been such a positive experience for our family. The organization, experience and love that is put into the school is so comforting as a parent. Every time I drop my kids off I know that they are in the best possible hands. Plus my kids absolutely love it there and come home talking non stop about what a fun day they've had!

PB & J Day School has exceeded my expectations in every way. Both of my children attend the school and I have never second guessed our decision to send them there. The teachers are focused, dedicated and energetic. It obvious that they have a passion for teaching and truly care about their students. The school is state of the art, clean and welcoming. Hands down best preschool in the Franklin community.

I can not express how much we appreciate PB&J. Not only does my child come home excited about his day but he comes home and tells me how much he loves his teacher. As a parent, the school communicates beautifully and you never feel "in the dark" with what is going on. As my child was walking in one morning so many of the teachers/staff were saying good morning to him by his name. He looked up at me and said; "that's pretty cool they know my name and that's not my teacher". PB&J truly invests in your children and you feel it.

I just want to say how much we love PB & J Day School! Our four year old says everyday he loves his school and looks forward to going. This is a really big improvement over the Mother's Day out program we had him in last fall. We pulled him out because didn't like going, every day was a hassle. All of the staff are so friendly and caring. Our 16 month old is "all smiles" according to his teachers, and has so much fun playing on both the indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The webcams are a nice bonus. It's easy leaving them there from day to day when we know we can check on them whenever we want to. Would definitely recommend!

I am so grateful that I found PB&J Dayschool. Both of my children have received very well rounded and creative educations. The teachers are amazing, and truly love each child they teach, and the smiles that are always on their faces show they love their jobs too! I highly recommend PB&J Dayschool, it will be the best decision you will ever make!

Whether you call it a day school or preschool it's AWESOME. My boys have learned so much there in the past 2 years. The can answer questions before many kids their own age who go to other schools in the area. The place is clean, safe, and communication is always clear and consistent. thanks!
