The Fredericksburg, VA location on Southpoint Pkwy was the best Carmax I or my family has personally ever been to. We love Carmax as it is but there was something superb about this location. Jeremy Fossum was my sales consultant and I was impressed with his genuineness and help while I was there. The entire experience to purchase a vehicle was not stressful one bit. I also lived 1.5 hours away and Jeremy worked to help us with a scheduling conflict on getting the remote start installed. While my mother was there helping me to get it installed, she reported that she was very touched on how she was treated with such kindness and now has made another journey to Fredericksburg just because of the character of people at that location. Thank you ALL!

I went into Carmax a little skeptical as I thought I could get a better deal at a dealership. But I am so glad I decided to go with them. My salesman, Chris W, was amazing! Everything went so smoothly, through the whole process I was waiting for the catch. I requested for a vehicle to be transferred from another location. It arrived in 3 days. I got pre-approved for financing through Carmax over the phone, which I was very pleased with (considering my own personal bank could not even get close to matching the interest rate). Once I arrived to the dealership, everything went extremely smooth. I got way more than I expected for my trade in (double what the dodge dealership was offering me). The used vehicle I purchased was competitive compared to the asking price that was advertised elsewhere and way below invoice prices at other dealerships. The vehicle was in great condition, but as this was a used car, I had a trusty mechanic inspect the car bumper to bumper. All in all, my mechanic said it was a great car. The only fault was the wheels could use either a balancing or alignment, but by no means was it major. Although this is no big deal, I hesitantly called Chris to see if this was something CarMax would cover. He said since it falls in the 30-day warranty, they absolutely would take care of it and I would just have to give the service garage a call to set up an appointment. Overall, my experience could not have been better!

The phone number was accurate

i purchased a 2004 Mercedes Benz in 2006 and it has been a nightmare ever since. In Nov 2006 I was told I needed a new battery it is a Mercedes, the battery in my Saturn lasted longer. In November 2007 I had to have the chip in my radio replaced. In January 2008 it would not start, had it towed to Carmax and was told nothing is wrong. Now it is March 2008 and it is back in their shop waiting service. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. When I return from Kuwait I plan on returning the car and never purchasing another car from Carmax
