Its five acre facility in Gibsonton is comprised of more than 23 tropical freshwater systems that contain over 5,600 aquariums. Segrest Farms has four outdoor farms that total 145 acres and 987 ponds. The company buys from ornamental freshwater fish farms in Florida. It also imports ornamental freshwater fish from farms throughout the world. The company began operation in 1961 with 16 aquariums. Segrest sells only to retail pet stores but does have a selection of items for hobbyists.

Provided by YP.comTe company and reps are all friendly until your order arrives with sick fish. Our fish arrived just covered in ich (fish disease). They offered a small percentage credit not even enough to cover shipping of a second order. Each fish got more sick even with over $100 in treatments for the ich trying to save the fish and still died. They dont care, said so over the phone. We lost over $500 if you include shipping, fish, and fish medicine. Just stay away from this company !
