Provided by YP.comI used to board my horse at Sundance, until I brought my mare. The stables manager Skip has zero experience with mares and had no clue what to do with my mare when she was in heat. He didn't even pay attention to the fact that I had brought a mare until she came into heat and caused the geldings in her run to fight. He called me asking me what to do at his facility and in the end told me I would have a month to leave because he did not know how to deal with mares. In my opinion he is unqualified, and if they are a gelding-only boarding facility then they should let that be known. I am very disappointed as I had a great experience when I brought my gelding. This experience has completely changed my view of Skip and Sundance as a whole. I will be happily finding another barn to board my horse.

Provided by YP.comTwo weeks ago my daughter and I were visiting and she wanted to go riding. I grew up in the area but never rode at Sundance as I had friends horses to ride. My daughter's pony was switched at the last minute to Prince. To make a long story short, Prince wanted to go back to the barn. Several times our guide Hans, told my daughter to give him a good kick, which she did and Prince didn't want to budge. Finally have way thru Prince just stopped, and it took our guide about 10 minutes, when he decided he had no chose but to tie Prince up to his horse and drag him along. Hans was a wonderful guide and kept apologizing to my daughter for picking the wrong pony and telling her it was not her fault. After the ride I went and spoke to the manager "Skip the Dip". I explained to him what happen and if my daughter could get a credit for a future ride, and asked him to go talk to Hans; he would not. Skip the Dip was blaming my 9 yr. old daughter that it was her fault, right in front of her and arguing with myself. Also, the pony Prince had been out 3 other times that day. It's been awhile since I've run into such an insensitive person, which obvious has very poor management skills. We shall never return, I'd rather drive an hour or more out of my way!

Provided by YP.comI am impressed by the quality of the horses at Sundance Riding Stables. They have a variety for all skill levels, all appear to be well-cared for and well-trained. I would give a five but the trails are a bit too simple. There is some variety from field to woods but not any change in elevation. The workers have always been helpful and friendly.
