Provided by YP.comMy family is all sick with a sort throat, fever, chills, etc. We wanted a quick Strep test, so we scheduled an appointment with MinuteClinic in Groton yesterday evening. We waited patiently with our 1 year old son, eventually (much longer than the screen said), the nurse let us into the room. My wife scheduled the appointment (for 12/22), so she was going to have the Strep test done. The nurse (Anne I believe) asked for an ID and insurance card. I explained that my wife is from China and didn't know she needed her ID, and that she doesn't bring her passport everywhere. She said we couldn't have the test done since my wife didn't have an ID. I asked if I could have the test done instead since we are all sick with the same thing. The nurse scoffed at us, and said "That is ridiculous. You can't try to skirt US Federal laws by getting the medication and then giving it to your wife." That is absolutely rude and ridiculous of her to assume that. We just want to know if we have Strep or not! I tried to explain again and she just shook her head and chuckled and said "No, you cannot have a test done here". Never go to this place. The CVS manager was nice enough and acknowledged what happened was wrong, but CVS and MinuteClinic are separate entities so he couldn't do anything about the rude nurse Anne.
