Our family has stayed here several times. We have always had great times here. The people are friendly and the creek is awesome. The only negative is the road that's a little noisy. It's convenient to Hiwassee, Blairsville and Helen. We will definitely be back.

It's worth the few bucks extra...

It's worth the few bucks extra to stay in town instead of here. It's not as close to Helen as their website makes it sound, and unless you are used to driving switch-backs, it's a lot closer to ~25-30 minutes outside of Helen. The campground in devoid of the beautiful trees that cover the mountain side, the bathhouse does not have hot water, and if you come during the "off season" (apparently April counts as off) their advertised Wi-fi is not turned on, even though the signage pulling in and their website says they have it. For the price, you can stay in town and a lot closer to civilization, where you can shower and connect to the world if necessary.
