I stopped by this store - The Quilting Niche - on my Louisiana vacation. I'm from Maryland. When I entered the store, I heard a woman from the back of the store yelling at a guy about shelves, fabric placement, etc. When she entered the store and saw me, no smile, no hi, no welcome to the shop. She did proceed to the front of the shop and continued her rant at this man about what he wasn't doing and how nothing looked good at all, etc. Frankly, I should have left, but they were in the way of the door. I was totally appalled at the unprofessionalism and total disregard for clientele. I know I'll never be in the area again, but if I were, I would never think of entering this store again. I would tell all of my friends and fellow quilters, to take this store off their list of shops to patron. Maybe it was just a bad day, but the actions were inexcusable.
