Middle School South serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, math, science and social studies, as well as foreign languages. The school s foreign language department conducts classes in French and Spanish. Each of its students participates in an elective program with options of art, drama, music, industrial arts, technology and home arts. The school also conducts classes in health and physical education for all grades. Middle School South participates in a district-wide comprehensive literacy initiative that emphasizes analytical reading and writing skills. Located in Howell, N.J., the school is a part of Howell Township Public Schools.
